Full Job Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for band 3 Healthcare support worker to join our team in a forward thinking Radiotherapy Department at Velindre Cancer Centres.

The post holder will work as an integral part of the radiotherapy team to support the Radiotherapy Review Clinics.

As an employee of the NHS Wales the post holder will be required to adhere to the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Wales

.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting clinical and non-clinical practices within the radiotherapy environment., The post holder will work as an integral part of the radiotherapy team to support the Radiotherapy Review Clinics

The post holder will be responsible for supporting clinical and non-clinical practices within the radiotherapy environment. The role will facilitatesystems and processes that assist in the fundamentals of care delivery to the patient to include preparing and assisting in clinics, including bookingappointments, booking and printing blood test requests, generating clinic lists and other administrative tasks, stock maintenance, taking andrecording of observations and to assist with the basic physical and emotional care of patients and their families as directed and under thesupervision of a qualified Radiographer.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
