Healthcare Support Worker, Theatres

This is an exciting time to join Ashford & St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, as we work on the expansion of our theatres at Ashford Hospital and move towards Ashford Hospital becoming our dedicated elective centre. We are looking to appoint several roles to support this dedicated site, including this exciting opportunity to join as Assistant Theatre Practitioner. We are looking for candidates with excellent communication skills, a desire to learn and passion to develop and improve. Previous theatre experience is welcome, along with experience from other acute hospital setting., Working as a Healthcare Support Worker (Assistant Theatre Practitioner) in a Theatre environment. We are looking to appoint individuals who will be supported to complete the Care Certificate, a comprehensive Theatre Competency Pack along with the completion of relevant assessment to progress to a Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker in Theatres. Individuals will: - Ccarry out assigned tasks involved with patient care as delegated by the Theatre Team Leader whilst maintaining the privacy and dignity of patients. - Assist in the provision of high-quality fundamental care to patients whilst supporting the Theatre Team in all areas of Main Theatre, Recovery and Anaesthetics.
