Full Job Description
The heart Centre flow coordinator will be responsible for the effective utilization of beds and flow within the heart Centre alongside the unscheduled and scheduled admission. The role requires working in conjunction with the Emergency Department in admission and assessment portals, direct admissions, Cardiac Assessment Nurse's, Inter hospital transfer team, Cardiac Cath Lab, wards and outpatients areas alongside members of the capacity management teams ensuring that national patient access standards are met within the quality framework., To facilitate the effective use of beds, using a structured approach and working alongside clinicians, nurses and the Site Matron, to ensure pro-active appropriate management and use of UHNM bed capacity. Being instrumental in ensuring patient access targets are met. Ensure pro-active planning to allow accommodation of both elective and emergency patients . Assist Clinicians and Senior Nursing staff with the management of all admissions and discharges for the division's patients by facilitating an efficient, effective and timely utilisation of beds and resources. Proactively challenge patient flow within the division ., To facilitate the effective use of beds, using a structured approach and working alongside clinicians, nurses and the Site Matron, to ensure pro-active appropriate management and use of UHNM bed capacity.
