Full Job Description

Toshiba Carrier Europe (TCEU), now has an exciting opportunity for a confident, self-starting, experienced Heating Engineer to join the team in Plymouth, Devon UK. The main goal for the role is to provide technical support for Toshiba growing range of Air to Water Heat (A2W) pump products for our European customers including the UK. We welcome applications from engineers within the domestic and light commercial heating markets, including Project Engineers, Technical Engineers, Service and Install/Commissioning Engineers, who live within a commutable distance of Plymouth, Devon. The position would be well suited to heating engineers, who wish to move into the renewable heating sector and who are highly motivated to gain knowledge and experience within this expanding industry. As a Heating Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the development of future Toshiba A2W products, which involves understanding customer requirements and liaising with the factory and Product Managers to ensure product specification meets the customers' requirements.
  • Supporting customers with the Installation and commissioning of Air source heat pumps, including help on space heating design (radiator / underfloor heating) and domestics hot water setup, including G3 requirements for UK market.
  • Supporting the Toshiba Design teams in the engineering development and testing of current and future Toshiba A2W products.
  • Providing pre and post sales technical support to our European and UK customers
  • Preparing and providing technical product training based on customer requirements.
  • Liaising with internal members as necessary to resolve technical issues.
  • Helping Facilitate Toshiba's compliance with European and UK certification programmes, including Keymark, MCS and G3

    Practical knowledge and expertise with air source heat pumps or commercial heating equivalents.
  • Ability to interpret and understand current & new legislation and testing documents (G3 & WRAS)
  • Ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Confidence to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Basic working knowledge and understanding of Microsoft office tools i.e. Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint & Word.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
  • Valid UK driving license.
