Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, flexible and organised person to join the Hepatology team at the Bristol Royal Infirmary. If you enjoy working with a wide variety of people, enjoy new challenges and meet tight deadlines, we want to hear from you.

The post holder will require excellent communication skills, the ability to work under pressure and good organisational/interpersonal skills. They should also be able to independently manage their own workload.

This is a part time, band 3 post working 4 days per week. The role is split between 3 days of administrative support for the Hep C team and 1 day of administrative support for the new ED BBV Opt Out testing scheme. More details on this project can be found here.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for the accurate entry of data to computerised databases, using all computer systems relevant to the role.

Manage patient communications both via telephone and through Trust systems to create letters, emails and text reminders

To act as a point of contact for queries from clinical and non-clinical staff relating to the CQUIN

Liaise with clinical and non-clinical teams across the Trust via telephone and email

To show a caring and professional approach towards patients, relatives and carers. This may require acting with resilience to deal with sometimes distressed patients and relatives in a professional and empathetic manner

To organise weekly departmental CQUIN project meetings including compiling the agenda, taking minutes and maintaining the action log., children, young people and vulnerable adults.
