HGV Class 1 driver / Warehouse Operative

Position: HGV Class 1 driver/Warehouse Operative
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Location: East Midlands Airport
Salary: £32,500
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (6:00am till 14:00pm). In addition you will be required to work alternative Saturdays which are paid at an additional time and half rate.

PLEASE NOTE;

To be considered for this role you are required to hold a valid Class 1 HGV license and an up to date CPC License

The role is based within an Airport. You will be required to under-go Security Vetting Processes (including a criminal record check) if you are to be successful for this position.

No two days on our Aviation contract are the same! You will play an integral role in the ground handling operation, working to tight timeframes but delivering fantastic results.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• Loading and unloading HGV Vehicle


• Delivering of goods to Airport terminal


• Completing delivery point paperwork


• Escorting retailers into Truck Yard


• Ensuring that you comply with all security processes at East Midlands Airport


• Working in a safe and tidy manner


WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Previous warehouse and/or airport experience is essential


• Must hold a valid Class 1 driving license, CPC and DIGI TACO


• Minimum of 6 months HGV driving experience is mandatory


SECURITY PROCESS TO WORK WITHIN AVIATION AND TRAVEL AT DHL

• You will need a minimum of 3 years UK address history


• Be able to provide 5 years reference history (employment/education/benefit claim/character)


• Hold a full UK driving license


• able to obtain a full airside ID
