HGV Driver Training Manager

Pay Rate: £32,000.00 - £34,000.00 Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Shift patterns: Monday - Friday 45 hours per week Location: Prudhoe - NE42 6PL DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a HGVTraining Manager to play a vital role managing driver safety, training and compliance. WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL? As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

• Collaborating with the Transport Management team to ensure that drivers are trained to DHL standards whilst maintaining safety and compliance
• Monitoring driver telematics and compliance reporting through Microlise and providing coaching to improve standards
• Providing driver training, new driver inductions and driver assessments in line with DHL policies and procedures
• Supporting with accident and incident investigations to understand root cause and implement corrective actions
• Managing and updating documentation such as training records, risk assessments and SSOW's

• Must hold Class 1 Driving Licence with a valid Digital Tachograph Card and CPC Card
• Experience training drivers or conducting HGV driving assessments is desirable, but not essential
• Good level of IT literacy, with experience using Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams. Microlise experience would be ideal but not essential
• Confident to communicate across various levels both written and verbal
• Happy to attend training courses in the North West and Midlands
