HGV Mechanic

Our six commercial vehicle workshops look after all Grundon commercial fleet issues, including correcting daily defects, service maintenance and MOTs, delivering a highly compliant standard of service. It's an exciting time to be joining us, too, as we invest in BEVs. Day to day, you can expect to maintain our mixed fleet of rigid and articulated vehicles to high standards in line with DVSA and FTA requirements.

Large goods vehicle experience is essential and ideally, you're qualified or semi-skilled (City & Guilds HGV Parts 1, 2 & 3 or NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent). If you don't have those qualifications then you must have 10 years' experience working on HGV vehicles.
- You hold a current LGV licence (Class 2/Cat C minimum) and digital tachograph card.
- It would be great if you have knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, but it's not essential and we'll always train the right person.
- Flexible approach.

We're offering a permanent contract and circa £45,500 per annum, plus a host of benefits, including:

- 31 days' annual leave (inclusive of 8 bank holidays), which will increase with service, plus the option to buy up to 5 extra days' holiday, Working hours: Your working week will average 47.75 hours worked over a two-week cycle.
Week 1: Mon-Fri 6am-4.30pm, plus Sat morning, 6am-11.30am
Week 2: Mon-Fri 7.30am-5pm
