Full Job Description

  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them.

  • Perform routine maintenance on vehicles including 6 weekly check on all vehicles.

  • Test parts and systems to ensure they are working properly.

  • Repair or replace worn parts, such as brake pads and wheel bearings.

  • Use testing equipment to ensure that repairs and maintenance are effective.

  • Inspect and test new vehicles for necessary adjustments.

  • Attend on the road breakdowns (a company van will be provided).

    We are looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join our team, please DO NOT apply if you have no experience. The successful candidate will have a strong background in HGV repair and maintenance, be able to diagnose and repair a wide variety of mechanical issues, and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will also be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, provide excellent customer service, and have a positive attitude. Must have a full UK license, ideally a HGV license., HGV mechinical: 3 years (required)
