Full Job Description

The HGV Technician Roles / Responsibilities :

  • Regularly Servicing / Maintaining a fleet of Trucks and Vehicles.

  • Conduct Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMI's) / Brake Test in accordance with standards

  • Preparation for MOTs of HGV's.

  • Utilise mechanical knowledge/power tools to diagnose and repair faults in HGVs

  • Ability to fabricate, assemble, and maintain vehicle components

  • Carry out Mechanical repairs to a high standard to ensure roadworthiness

  • Road Test Vehicle if and when necessary (dependant on licence categories held)


    • Working Hours :

    Monday-Friday

  • You will have previous experience working as an HGV Technician/ Mechanic within the HGV, LGV, PSV, Heavy Plant or associated sector.

  • Hold a Full UK Driving Licence

  • Ideally, hold a CE Licence

  • Ideally, hold relevant qualifications in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or HGV Technician

  • Skills including computer literacy/ability to accurately complete service records
