Full Job Description

Due to a new site opening at DHL Segro Park Coventry we are seeking skilled HGV/MVU Technicians to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of DHL trailers.,

  • Service, inspection, maintenance and repair of trailers
  • Electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation
  • Overhaul electrical equipment and components
  • Setting and operating of machine tools and equipment
  • Welding and metal working
  • Department of Transport (MOT) testing preparation
  • Parts ordering and stores management
  • Support team members including Apprentice Technicians as required
  • Accurately record time and detail of completed jobs
  • Carry out inspection and repair of workshop equipment as directed
  • Other work within normal grade/job skills as required
  • Ad-hoc duties as required

    Qualified to NVQ Level 2 in Heavy Goods Maintenance or equivalent or proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role in vehicle maintenance.
  • Diagnostics skills/qualifications - desirable
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • A valid Class 1 licence - desirable
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

    Hours of work 4 on 4 off: 6am - 6pm (£38,720 - £18.50ph) or 6pm - 6am (£45,000 £21.50ph)
