Full Job Description
32.50 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm, term time plus one week
Woodlands Primary and Nursery School are looking to appoint a HLTA to start asap. We are looking for an experienced, organised, capable, intuitive, and enthusiastic HLTA to work as a valuable part of our school team providing, PPA cover and curriculum support across school. The successful candidate will:
- Have sound literacy and numeracy skills.
- Hold the relevant HLTA qualification and have experience either in Early Years & Foundation Stage / Key Stage 1 or 2.
- Have knowledge of Read Write Inc. or other phonic programmes.
- Be creative and committed to making learning interesting and fun!
- Inspire trust, instil confidence, and embrace challenges, in order to raise pupil attainment.
- Be able to work as part of a successful, hardworking, dedicated team. Have had experience of shared planning and assessment to enable the interpretation of data to support target setting and pupil tracking.
- Have a good sense of humour.
- Be flexible and able to adapt to a change in circumstances without prior notice.
- Show an understanding of a restorative behaviour approach. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a friendly, supportive school, committed to continuing professional development.
