Full Job Description

32.50 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm, term time plus one week

Woodlands Primary and Nursery School are looking to appoint a HLTA to start asap. We are looking for an experienced, organised, capable, intuitive, and enthusiastic HLTA to work as a valuable part of our school team providing, PPA cover and curriculum support across school. The successful candidate will:

  • Have sound literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Hold the relevant HLTA qualification and have experience either in Early Years & Foundation Stage / Key Stage 1 or 2.
  • Have knowledge of Read Write Inc. or other phonic programmes.
  • Be creative and committed to making learning interesting and fun!
  • Inspire trust, instil confidence, and embrace challenges, in order to raise pupil attainment.
  • Be able to work as part of a successful, hardworking, dedicated team. Have had experience of shared planning and assessment to enable the interpretation of data to support target setting and pupil tracking.
  • Have a good sense of humour.
  • Be flexible and able to adapt to a change in circumstances without prior notice.
  • Show an understanding of a restorative behaviour approach.
