Full Job Description

We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who will complement the professional work of our teachers by taking responsibility for learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This will involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals, groups or whole classes including monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupils achievement, progress and development.

  • Have the ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential

  • Assess the needs of pupils and use detailed knowledge and specialist skills to support pupils' learning

  • Have a strong knowledge of the curriculum

  • Organise and manage appropriate learning environment and resources

  • Have the ability to support pupils working at all levels and promote inclusion within the classroom

  • Be committed to raising attainment, achievement and progress

  • Ensure all pupils have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop

  • Be committed to working within a team to continue to provide high quality services for our pupils and families.

  • Meet Professional Standards for HLTA status or have equivalent qualification (NVQ Level 4)

  • Have excellent numeracy/literacy skills

    At Moorcroft Wood Primary School we are committed to safeguarding our children.
