Full Job Description

We are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Medical Needs), which is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic colleague to join our vibrant and successful school. Higher Level Teaching Assistants play a crucial role in ensuring students with additional educational needs are supported across our school curriculum. You will work closely with the Assistant Head (Inclusion & SEND), Deputy SENDCo, class teachers, external agencies and parents/carers to provide a high quality personalised and inclusive education experience. The details of the post are:

  • Contract status - Permanent
  • Weeks per year - Term Time Only (which is 39 weeks a year)
  • Days per week - Monday to Friday
  • Working hours - 08.15 to 16.15
  • Hours per week - 35
  • Grade - Scale 5
  • Actual salary - £27,533 to £28,825 a year (which will increase following the agreement of the NJC pay deal for 2024-25)
