We are delighted to be able to offer a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic echocardiographer to join us as a highly specialised cardiac physiologist. We are seeking to recruit an exceptionally skilled BSE accredited Band 7 Echocardiographer who shows evidence of excellent clinical ability, able to provide clinical leadership and is keen to develop managerial skills.
We are a vibrant and diverse BSE-accredited department, collectively performing around 30,000 echocardiograms each year on all ages. UHS offers fantastic training and development giving you the best possible opportunities to achieve the career you want.

Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you need, and we will explore what's possible for the role and service., Our highly-specialised echocardiographers are involved in physiologist led valve, heart failure and contrast clinics, paediatric and adult congenital echocardiography, trans-oesophageal and stress echocardiography.
Our department operates Monday to Saturday. Full time staff work 4 days per week. You will be required to work on Saturdays and bank holidays on a rotational basis with a compensatory day off during the week. Although Southampton General is our main site, there will be a regular requirement to work across multiple sites including at community diagnostic centres. There is a £5000 recruitment and retention payment available following 2 years of service in this post.
