Full Job Description

The post holder will work within a variety of care pathways including special schools, developmental clinics for under-fives, CPIPSE clinics and will assess and treat all ages individually or in a group. They will be involved in supervising and training physiotherapy staff, students and assistant practitioners.Within Lewisham there is a strong multidisciplinary/multiagency focus to working with children and young people, the post holder will support this and be involved in promoting it for individual families., 1. Improving representation at senior levels of staff with disabilities, from black, Asian, and ethnic minorities background, identify as LGBTQ+ and women, through improved recruitment and leadership development
2. Widening access (anchor institution) and employability
3. Improving the experience of staff with disability
4. Improving the EDI literacy and confidence of trust staff through training and development
5. Making equalities mainstream

We are looking for a highly experienced, enthusiastic, self-motivated senior member of staff to help lead in providing a high-quality, comprehensive and proactive clinical physiotherapy service for children and young people (0 to 19) referred to our specialist children's physiotherapy service.We are based at the purpose built Children and Young People's Centre -- Kaleidoscope in Catford and provide physiotherapy for children and young people in the diverse population of Lewisham., We have a physiotherapy team of 12 staff and offer peer support and a strong commitment to continuing professional development.The post holder will have opportunities to develop clinical, organisational and managerial skills in a variety of settings and to work with children of all ages.The successful candidate will be highly specialised, experienced, motivated, organised and committed to working within a team environment.

An enhanced DBS check and fulfillment of the physical requirement of the post are detailed in the Person specification. A clean driving license is desirable.
