Full Job Description

The post holder should be qualified in either Echocardiography or the CIED service, with either BSE accreditation or HR UK / equivalent qualification
We are a large NHS Trust offering a well established Complex PCI service, which includes Pressure Wire, IVUS/OCT, all forms of Calcification modification including Rablation, Shockwave etc. Also Microvascular assessment / Coraventis and balloon pump.
The Cardiac Device Service provides an extensive CIED follow-up service for all devices and includes a well-established remote follow-up service. We also have physiologist ILR implants.
The Echocardiography service includes Dobutamine and Exercise Stress Echo, Transoesophageal echo, Contrast and Bubble Studies, Advanced Imaging including Speckle Tracking and 3-D Echocardiography and Research.
We are a satellite Pulmonary Hypertension centre linked to the Royal Free Hospital, and perform a full range of Pulmonary Hypertension Right Heart catheter evaluation and Echocardiographic assessment.
The post holder will also be expected to undertake a wide variety of non-invasive tests.

To be technically proficient as an independent practitioner in Echo or CIED service, working in line with good scientific practice
To be technically proficient as an independent practitioner in both Cath lab procedures and non-invasive cardiology procedures, competent in performing the above to a high standard according to departmental and national guidelines.
Additional responsibilities to support service delivery, recognising that Band 7 is a senior role.
