Full Job Description

Are you a psychologist looking for a role within a community team delivering care wrapped around psychological interventions? The Worcestershire Early Intervention in Psychosis Service (EIS) is excited to recruit an enthusiastic Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join a team providing support for those experiencing, or who may be developing, a first episode of psychosis. The post holder will work with a diverse group with a range of complex mental health needs. The successful applicant will be part of a multi-disciplinary team and will be valued for their ability to think psychologically and dynamically. They will also play a key leadership role in the team, and will be supported with regular clinical supervision. The post is 32 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working between the two bases and other Trust sites., To act in a lead role for the development and provision of Psychological Therapies within the Early Intervention in Psychosis Service; providing professional management, guidance, and clinical supervision to psychological therapists. To promote psychological thinking and working within the team by offering psychologically informed perspectives on client care and consultancy. To contribute towards staff/team development of skills and knowledge through offering teaching and training. Conducting or supporting research, audit and service development activities within the service, where this is appropriate. To provide specialist psychological assessments, formulations, interventions and evaluations of outcome for clients with complex mental health issues, social and relational difficulties, and groups, with the aim of maximising well-being, and social, emotional, and occupational functioning.
