Highly specialist Dietitian - Neonates

We are looking to appoint a Band 7 Highly Specialist Dietitian to support Neonates at NUH as part of Nottingham Children's hospital . We have been fortunate to gain additional funding to expand the dietetic service provision to the Neonatal service at NUH
This is a permanent 0.6 WTE and will cover the neonatal units at both the QMC and City campuses of NUH . This post will also include working with neonatal out patient reviews and attendance at consultant led clinics.
You will also be working closely with our AHP colleagues in Physiotherapy, Speech & Language Therapy and Dietetics as well as the wider MDT including the neonatal outreach nurses to deliver a comprehensive Neonatal service.

+ able to work autonomously and provide specialist dietetic assessment and interventions to infants and their families?
If yes, come and join our expanding neonatal AHP team at Nottingham University Hospitals!, You will be a highly specialist dietitian supporting babies and their families under the neonatal services . Your post will include the dietary assessment and advice for neonates requiring nutritional support related to their prematurity or complex neonatal needs . The advice may include supplementation , enteral and parenteral nutrition . Nottingham has a surgical centre and you will lead on the nutritional management of infants requiring surgery in the neonatal period .
You will work closely with the Neonatal MDT including medics, allied health professionals, nursing and outreach teams .
You will have a clinical leadership role and this will include the development of clinical guidelines in line with evidence based practice .
You will be part of the established Children's Hospital Dietetic team of 32 dietitians , assistants , technicians and administrative staff . You will be seen as a clinical lead within the team and will contribute to team development whilst supporting other members of the team .

The Nottingham Children's Hospital (NCH) is based at the Queens Medical Centre campus and is part of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH). We provide In-patient and out-patient care for children up to the age of 19 years old.
With 97 beds, we care for around 40,000 children each year from Nottinghamshire and beyond, treating a full range of conditions, including planned and emergency treatment and surgery, Burns and Plastics, Neurological conditions, Oncology, Paediatric critical care, Renal conditions and transplantation, and Spinal and Orthopaedic care.
The Children's Therapy team at NCH is a friendly and supportive department who work closely alongside the wider MDT, providing excellent evidence based care and innovative ways of working.

If you are aged 16 or 17 and applying for a role that is more than 20 hours a week, please be aware that you will be asked to commence an Apprenticeship within the Trust alongside your role, as long as there is a suitable apprenticeship standard available. Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.

The system will provide us with an outcome of your check which will be stored securely on your personal file along with all other pre-employment check documentation.

+ Disclosure and Barring Service: Your post maybe subject to a DBS check which incur a cost dependent on the level of check required (£42.90 for enhanced and £22.90 for standard). I agree to reimburse Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust the cost of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check if it is required (by deduction from first month's pay).
