Full Job Description

This post is a specialist clinical podiatry post within the Greenwich MSK team. This role works alongside Physiotherapists to provide seamless musculoskeletal treatment plans across primary & secondary care. The post holder will assess and treat patients referred with complaints of the lower limb within specialist community clinics. The service has access to a host of opportunities and treatment modalities including shockwave therapy, injection therapy, sonography, 3D scanning for custom orthotics, manual therapy, gait analysis and in show pressure analysis Key Task and Responsibilities - To provide specialist MSK podiatry treatment to clients within the Greenwich community, through application of research & evidence-based care. - To provide a Podiatry within the Adults MSK service to clients within the Greenwich community, through application of a curative Philosophy of Care. This post does involve Saturday working as part of the team weekend rota. This is currently about 1 in 6 Saturdays for which time in lieu in the week is given.Main duties of the job Key Task and Responsibilities To provide specialist MSK podiatry treatment to clients within the Greenwich community, through application of research & evidence-based care. This will be delivered in specialist clinics throughout the borough. Assessment and treatment of patients referred for lower limb complaints, primarily of the foot and ankle. This will from time to time involve referral for imaging or other diagnostics. The post holder will also be involved in student and junior staff education as part of the rotational scheme within the trust . Training in shockwave, manual therapy, provision of custom orthotics and use of the technology required. Education provision to the physio MDT regarding podiatry issues There is a requirement to contribute to the team training rota.
