Are you passionate about improving the lives of vulnerable young people with autism and neurodiversity who are at risk of escalating mental health needs ?Are you dynamic, innovative and have a desire to be part of an integrated service that meets the holistic needs of the young people of Cornwall?Then this post could be for you!

We are looking for a highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to work in our acute pathway Therapies team, joining OT, Psychology, nursing and key working colleagues. You will be part of an integrated, multi-disciplinary CAMHS team, who are focused on ensuring children and young people, and their families, get the right help at the right time. Offering specialist Speech and Language assessment and intervention to children and young people presenting with co-morbid mental health needs as well as autism and neurodiversity you will be have a important role in shaping the care of young people presenting in the acute pathway and then receiving ongoing care from both the CAMHS key working and locality teams., To work as an Highly Specialist Specialist Speech and Language Therapist with Children and Young People (CYP) who are autistic and/or have a range of other identified neurodevelopmental conditions. The post holder will deliver highly advanced skills and knowledge to provide specialist Speech & Language therapy assessment and interventions to CYP who are receiving care across a range of services but who are at risk of hospital inpatient admission, in crisis or referred to the Dynamic Support Database for CYP.
