Full Job Description

Due to maternity leave we have various upcoming opportunities within the St George's University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Physiotherapy service as a Band 7 Highly Specialised Paediatric Physiotherapist working in the Musculoskeletal (MSK) Outpatient (OP) Team.
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated physiotherapist to join our friendly and dynamic service who is able to work with babies, children and young people with a range of musculoskeletal and complex needs and who is committed to a family centred practice. The St George's Physiotherapy Service is forward thinking, proactive and strongly supports continuous professional development/ evidence based practice.
The successful candidate will be based between the Child Development Centre (CDC) at St George's University Hospital, Tooting and Queen Mary's Hospital in Roehampton.
The post provides excellent opportunities to develop your clinical, managerial and professional skills as you will be a key member of the clinical leadership team within the Community and MSK OP Team. The post holder will be able to contribute to the continued development of the service and have the opportunity to supervise and appraise staff working within the team.

+ Experience of working with babies, children and young people (CYP) with a variety of needs including:
· Acute Injuries
· Complex pain presentations
· Complications of Excess Weight
· Postnatal Orthopaedic conditions including Clubfoot, DDH and OBPP
· Haemophilia
· Knowledge of assessment and intervention approaches for CYP with complex health presentations
· The ability to work closely and effectively with multi-disciplinary team colleagues, parents and other multi-agency colleagues in order to support children
· The ability to devise, implement and review therapy plans
· Knowledge of current intervention policies, practice and national drivers
· The ability to support and supervise students, junior staff and others
· The ability to work autonomously, flexibly and under sometimes challenging conditions
· Enthusiasm, imagination and initiative
