Main duties of the job

You will be a core member of the Critical Care MDT based in Prince Charles Hospital which consists of Intensivists, Nurses, Clinical Psychology, Physiotherapy, OT and Dietetics.

You will provide communication and swallowing assessment and rehabilitation to critically ill patients including patients with a tracheostomy and/or ventilator dependent.

You will use FEES to support decision making around tracheostomy weaning, upper airway rehabilitation and swallow/communication rehab.

You will work closely with the Trache MDT consisting of a Physio, CCOT, and Intensivist to support weaning when patients no longer require Level 3 care.

You will also provide training within and outside profession and contribute to reports, local and national guidance and workstreams, and wider AHP workstreams

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
