Full Job Description

Are you passionate about supporting students in achieving their best in English? We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our successful English department and make a real difference in students' learning journey., As an HLTA for English, you will play a key role in enhancing the delivery of high-quality English education across the school. Working closely with teachers, you will:

  • Plan and deliver targeted interventions, run small group sessions, and support whole-classes.
  • Support students in improving their English skills, increasing confidence, and building a love for the subject.
  • Identify and address learning needs, ensuring all students can access the curriculum effectively.
  • Assist in assessing and tracking student progress, identifying areas for improvement.

    Hold HLTA status or equivalent qualifications.
  • Have a strong understanding of the English curriculum and teaching practices.
  • Possess excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Be passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential.
  • Have experience working with students in a classroom or intervention setting.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage behaviour effectively and build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Be committed to promoting equal opportunities and safeguarding within education.
