Full Job Description

  • Take a lead role in the development and implementation of appropriate behaviour management strategies
  • Organise and deliver intervention support for students with SEMH needs
  • Oversee the SEMH team and provide support with resources and learning strategies. This will include the effective deployment of SEMH TAs as well as working closely with students, parents/carers, other staff (eg teaching staff) and external agencies to identify, assess and plan to meet the needs of students requiring CI support
  • Manage SEN information and care studies about students with SEN support or EHCPs for SEMH
  • Monitor the progress of students by measuring the impact of any intervention work, through appropriate testing and reviews. Keep accurate records
  • Work with other staff in planning, evaluating and adjusting learning activities as appropriate
  • Monitor and evaluate students' responses and progress against action plans through observations and planned recording
  • Work with the SENCo in supporting SEN students from primary schools prior to their transition to St Peter's
  • Arrange and oversee the timetables of students with SEMH needs facilitate appropriate interventions.
