Full Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Holidays Assistant Manager to join the team covering Sutton Hoo, Thorington and Dunwich You'll be out and about at the holiday cottages, travelling in our widespread portfolio and some weekend work. You'll work Mondays and Fridays and the other days are flexible. What it's like to work here Reporting to the Holidays Manager, it will be your role to support and provide cover. You'll work closely with the wider property team of business support, facilities and rangers. What you'll be doing You'll assist the Holidays Manager in the delivery of our growing holidays business. Ensuring consistent delivery of the operation across the area and achieve high levels of visitor satisfaction, you'll want all guests to be delighted with their stay, and for them to create memories and stories in our unique holiday places. You'll help with recruitment and grow the team of Holidays Operation Assistants providing clear induction and training. You'll organise the rota, hold team meetings and supervise the team giving them plenty of support, coaching and feedback. You'll work with the team to ensure they have what they need to deliver the highest quality of housekeeping and standards inside and outside the cottages. You'll handle any day to day maintenance problems and equipment failures liaising with staff and contractors. You'll support the team with ordering everything they need to operate. You'll carry out risk and compliance tasks making sure everyone is safe.

To deliver this role successfully, you'll need:

  • great at customer service skills
  • experience of working in a holiday's environment
  • to be organised and able to prioritise your own workload
  • to be able to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • to be helpful and approachable and have good people management skills
  • to be a clear communicator with good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • to be knowledgeable of compliance and legislation
