Full Job Description

We are seeking to appoint two experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Home Learning Educators to drive forward the Best Start for Life Offer across Tameside Family Hubs Network.

The role will be based within Tameside Family Hubs and will work closely with the Early Years, Early Help, parenting, outreach team and health colleagues to plan and deliver home based support and intervention for families and children who may not be accessing any other services. The role will offer flexible and tailored support to families and children within the home, but also encourage access and participation through the Family Hub.

Successful candidates will work with pre-school age children birth-5yrs, offering developmental support through evidence based programmes and building on a quality home learning environment with parents and carers. The role will support children with special educational needs directly or in partnership with other services such as Portage.

This developing role also includes working in partnership with other services to effect real change for families and improve outcomes. You will be expected to take a lead role in communicating with families and partners to identify what support is needed and who can provide that most effectively.

You must hold a relevant Early Years Qualification and have experience within early year's settings, knowledge of evidence based support programmes and have some experience of working on an outreach basis.
