Full Job Description
As a Home Ownership Assistant you'll be supporting the Home Ownership team to ensure that all the wheels keep turning. The team remit is large and you'll find that no two days are the same, you could be arranging meetings, data inputting, completing financial admin and possibly travelling in our communities to complete inspections and undertake home visits. You'll also have the opportunity to be involved in project work, supporting the Home Ownership Projects Officer, so this will also offer variety to the role. The role is flexible and you'll be able to work from home, the office, a coffee shop, whichever suits you, however there will be times that you need to be either in an office or our communities, so being able to travel in our operating region is important. Our region stretches through Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall, so ideally you be based in this area., We invest in our colleagues because we know if they have a better day at work, the service our customers receive will be better. The Aster Offer is our offer to our colleagues to ensure they have a great day at work and includes things like:
- Flexible working - whilst some roles need to be carried out in a specific place at a specific time, where possible we encourage our colleagues to work to their own schedule at a location that suits them, their team and our business' needs
- A focus on colleague wellbeing - workshops, an employee assistance programme offering counselling and support, mental health training and a health cash plan
- We invest in colleagues' careers and development through our leader and colleague development frameworks
- Defined Contribution Pension and attached life assurance
- Volunteering hours available to all colleagues to enable them to give back
- Savings at cinemas, gyms, holidays, days out, various shops and eateries and lots more
- Enhanced leave
- We celebrate colleagues who go above and beyond with a range of personalised recognition initiatives
You're going to find that this role will draw upon all your admin skills. You'll need to be a confident IT user. You'll be happy to create strong working relationships within the team and the wider business. Being able to manage your time and workload will be a natural skill and ensuring a job is seen through to the end will be important to you. Your willingness to learn will mean that you won't need to have worked in a housing environment in the past, although this could be beneficial. You'll be trained by your team and they will be happy to share their knowledge with you. This is a really interesting role and will give you some great insight into working in housing.
