If you are passionate about tackling homelessness in Croydon, improving services for residents and working in a fast paced and rewarding environment, come and join our management team As a Team manager you will have direct management responsibility for a team of officers in developing innovative and creative solutions in the prevention of homelessness and tangible reduction of the use of temporary accommodation. About the role: · To ascertain the housing need (in public and private sectors of the community) and provide coherent preventative strategies. · Ensure the provision of high-quality services to customers, by leading and motivating the team and embedding a culture of excellent customer service that delivers great community outcomes. · Ensuring all homeless Intervention, prevention and assessment functions meet legal requirements · Directing the Service, ensuring it is managed effectively to deliver excellent customer service that meets demand, demonstrates best practices, uses resources, and provides value for money.

· Extensive working knowledge and application of legislation impacting delivering a homelessness intervention prevention service and making improvements within a cost-reduction model. · Experience in the preparation of housing policies and strategies. · Ability to lead and develop a multi-disciplinary team to deliver excellent customer service in a high-pressure environment. · Experience in the discharge of duty under homelessness legislation including s188 duties. Ability to work in a collaborative way to transform service delivery including the ability to manage stakeholder relationships. Experience working effectively with elected Members and in partnership with other agencies, including the voluntary sector and private landlords.
