We have a number of roles and are seeking dynamic and collaborative individuals to join our management team to provide the best possible service to support tackling homelessness in Croydon. As a Team Leader, you will have direct management responsibility for a team of officers in developing innovative and creative solutions to prevent homelessness and achieve a tangible reduction in the use of temporary accommodation. Role Overview Your role will involve leading a team of officers committed to early intervention, ensuring that residents receive timely support to avoid homelessness. Areas of responsibility include:
- To Ensure the efficient delivery of Homeless Intervention and Prevention services with a strong focus on homelessness prevention, driving continuous improvement and implementing operational service plans.
- Act as a deputy for the Homelessness Intervention and Prevention Manager, representing the team in meetings and leading specific projects in their absence while providing guidance and direction to ensure cross-team collaboration.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners to enhance service delivery, while providing effective line management to the Homeless Intervention and Prevention Team, motivating staff through periods of change to ensure excellent customer service.
Ability to be proactive and creative in preventing homelessness and resolving complex customer problems. - Experience in the discharge of duty under homelessness legislation including s188 duties.
- Experience of leading and supporting teams to create a collaborative culture that is adaptable to new challenges and ways of working, focused on the customer experience and outcomes
- Ability to work in a collaborative way to transform service delivery including the ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
