Full Job Description

Your hours of work will be Monday to Friday 0800 - 1700hrs but some flexibility may be required to provide operational support. Key Responsibilities:

  • Managerial responsibility for a team of driver's operating on the contract.
  • Route planning and resource allocation as required.
  • · Support in employee investigations, return to works, welfare meetings, disciplinaries and other aspects of people management. · Management of all Service Bookings, MOTs and statutory testing for the fleet.
  • Completion of driver's wages data.
  • Contract KPI Reporting.
  • Day-to-day purchasing for the operation
  • Support and facilitate driver licence checks. Collection, validation and completion of driver's hours records via the FTA system. DCPC training and any other transport related competencies.
  • Data entry for defects and accident reporting.
  • Assist with the presentation of driver briefings, inductions and toolbox talks on company policy and legislation.
  • Health and Safety reporting as required by the operation.

    Experience and understanding of logistics supply chain.
  • Experience and understanding of the movement of vehicles and associated activities and compliance.
  • Understanding of all relevant driving legislation including tachograph policies, driving hours and the road Traffic Act.
  • Line management experience.
  • Computer literate in the use of Microsoft Office applications - Excel, Word etc.
  • · Manage, support and maintain contact and communications with internal departments, Suppliers, Managers & Stakeholders. · Able to work under pressure whilst maintaining a professional attitude.
  • Must have flexible approach and to be willing to carry out varied tasks positively, reliably and accurately.
  • An excellent team player, able to work on own initiative and make decisions.
  • Will approach their work in an enthusiastic and responsive manner whilst still maintaining professionalism.
  • Ideally a CPC holder.
