Full Job Description

We are recruiting a Hospitality Manager to work across two of our stunning and luxurious care homes, Leah Lodge and Rectory Court, in close proximity to each other, based in Blackheath, catering to residential and dementia needs.

This is an exciting full time opportunity for an experienced and passionate Hospitality Manager. The role will be to ensure that high standards and high customer satisfaction are delivered at all times at both homes.

The Hospitality Manager is the one to take charge in ensuring that operations are run smoothly within the homes and that the residents are comfortable and happy. This means ensuring that all areas of the homes are kept clean, the food is delicious and enjoyable, and that the team members are accommodating and helpful at all times. The Hospitality Manager needs strong communication skills when dealing with team members, residents and family members.

You will require a background in hotel or catering management, a knowledge of budget control and purchasing, auditing of environment, food preparation and presentation.

The main responsibilities for this role are:
1. Monitor, control and manage the homes budgets, ensuring the departments use nominated suppliers
2. Recruit, train and manage all team members in the above activities in conjunction with the General Manager, ensuring that performance standards are understood and maintained
3. Ensure that the catering service is of the highest standards in terms of presentation and menu content, working closely with the Head Chef in achieving a quality service that is value for money
4. Monitor and support the dining areas at meal times ensuring that the highest standards are met
5. Attend evening and weekend functions as they arise to facilitate a quality service to residents and guests to the homes
6. Ensure that the whole home teams are appropriately trained and customer service standards are met at all times
