Warm and welcoming hospitality is at the heart of what we offer, and we are dedicated to delivering excellence in our hospitality to visitors. Our fantastic teams provide customers with the highest quality service and value.We have several fabulous hospitality venues - Northgate House hotel, Grange restaurant, San Benedetto's pizzeria and a busy conference centre. This postholder will work, primarily, in the hotel, providing ad-hoc assistance in our other venues, developing their operational knowledge and skill and positioning them well for career development.We are looking for a 'hands-on' addition to our hospitality team who, in line with our values, will lead by example, valuing and respecting the contributions of team members and inspiring them to deliver excellence in all they do.,

  • Have recent experience of successfully leading a team in hospitality as an operational member of it (essential)
  • Have front of house experience (essential) with experience of other areas of hospitality - housekeeping, simple food preparation etc - advantageous
  • Have a flexible approach to work, including working hours, and the ability to integrate into multiple teams
  • Are a good communicator, especially verbally, with numeracy and literacy skill
  • Have a positive, 'can do' attitude and permanent smile!
  • Have high standards and are comfortable and confident with public facing duties and in leading the team
  • Are punctual and reliable, quick to learn, and can be relied upon to follow schedules and processes
  • Are highly self-motivated and responsible, with the ability to see what needs to be done and achieve it with the team
  • Have the energy and stamina to be kept moving and busy all shift
  • Have health, safety and environmental awareness and focus, and basic knowledge of the fundamentals of people management
  • Have a Basic Food Hygiene certificate (desirable, but can complete in post)
