If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Hospitality Turnaround Manager at our Sandringham Campus.
This post is fixed term for 9 months.
About Sandringham
Sandringham is one of Jewish Care's flagship campuses, located in South Hertfordshire. It houses:
A residential and nursing home for 88 residents
A retirement living block with 48 apartments
A vibrant community centre supporting up to 50 people daily
A Dementia Day Centre for 20 people daily
Facilities for hosting internal and external events for the wider organisation
Role Overview
As Hospitality Turnaround Manager, you will revitalise and optimise our hospitality services across Sandringham. From catering for care home residents to overseeing the community café and managing internal/external functions, you'll drive operational excellence and ensure we deliver outstanding experiences for residents, tenants, service users, and visitors. A key aspect of the role will be leveraging your expertise in menu development to create tailored, cost-effective offerings that delight residents and guests alike.
This role requires a hands-on, solutions-focused leader who can identify areas for improvement, implement transformative changes, and inspire a team to achieve excellence., Strategic Leadership: Assess and redesign operations, implement a turnaround plan, and set measurable performance targets.
Operational Excellence: Lead staff development, manage procurement, and collaborate on tailored, cost-effective menus.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with residents, families, and the community, using feedback to enhance services.
Financial Management: Optimise budgets, drive café profitability, and ensure cost-efficient operations without compromising quality.
Compliance and Standards: Maintain adherence to health, safety, and food hygiene regulations, conducting audits and addressing gaps.
Change Management: Lead cultural and operational change, ensuring buy-in from staff and stakeholders, and monitor progress.
Proven experience in hospitality management, ideally within health and social care.
Expertise in menu development to create tailored, cost-effective offerings that delight residents and guests alike.
Demonstrated success in turnaround roles with measurable improvements.
Strong knowledge of compliance standards (health, safety, and food hygiene).
Financial acumen with budget management and cost-efficiency expertise.
Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Skills
Understanding of Kosher/Kashrut laws.
Familiarity with CQC and IDDSI frameworks.
Experience with menu management and EPOS systems.
