Full Job Description

Be part of the winning formula. As Hotel Financial Controller in a Hotel Du Vin you will control the accounting for all departments within the Wimbledon hotel. What you'll be doing as Hotel Financial Controller:

  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences by troubleshooting and resolving billing-related disputes effectively.
  • Act as the finance department's representative in daily department head meetings with the general manager.
  • Oversee all phases of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and departmental budgeting processes.
  • Calculate and distribute wages/salaries, and prepare regular accounting activity summaries and financial statements.
  • Review ledger details and daily financial reports to validate proper payment, taxation, and revenue postings; address imbalances with the PMS team.
  • Guide the night audit team for accurate revenue reporting and ensure adherence to financial policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage month-end/year-end processes, including financial statement preparation and variance analysis.
  • Work with auditors and tax advisors to complete audits and tax filings timely and accurately.
  • Ensure correct taxation is applied across all billing software, including PMS, POS, and SPA systems.

    We are looking for someone who has previous experience in finance in a similar sized property. The ideal Hotel Financial Controller will have excellent communication skills, be a team player, and enjoy a hand's on role. Experience within a hospitality background is beneficial as well as experience using SAP and Opera.
