Full Job Description
As an Hourly Paid Lecturer you will have the opportunity to contribute to educational programmes delivered at the Institute of Health and Allied Professions, aligned to your area of expertise.
IHAP runs a wide range of courses at undergraduate and pot-graduate level. This includes pre-registration education for Nurses and Nursing Associates, Paramedics and Ambulance Technicians.
We have a Masters in Public Health which embeds global perspectives on health alongside delivering specialist continuing professional development provision for a range of health care professionals.
As an hourly paid lecturer you will support the academic team to deliver teaching, assess students work, contribute to curriculum development and where relevant support our students in practice.
The Hourly Paid Lecturer role provides a flexible way to contribute to student learning and develop teaching experience. Hourly paid lecturers may provide input for specialist areas of expertise and / or support the academic team during staff absence.
Activities are mutually agreed and demand will vary depending on the time of year and department need.
If you are an experienced educator keen to contribute to student learning or are new to teaching and looking for opportunities to extend your experience of student support from clinical practice into a University setting, the hourly paid lecturer provides a flexible opportunity to make an important contribution to the education of health professionals.
The School of Social Sciences at Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is recognised nationally and internationally for delivering theoretically informed and applied research.
We foster a culture that values the diversity of all our communities and publicises and celebrates excellence in all we do.
We maintain a vibrant and inclusive learning and teaching environment that is grounded in scholarship, research, and professional practice.
Our Institute of Health and Allied Professions develops collaborative and innovative education and research in health, aiming to make a positive contribution to improving health for all.
