House Concept Designer

We have an exciting opportunity for a House Concept Designer to join a friendly team working from our Central region based at our office in Solihull on a permanent basis.

The purpose of the role will include;

• Owns and maintains house, site and landscaping Concept design documents and Guidelines (in central library, managing version control) for regions to design and build within


• Continuously seeks feedback and innovation from internal (i.e. Sales and Marketing) and extremal sources, developing ideas and updates for inclusion in Concepts


• Manages national design Partner panel for regions to use on individual site design, working within Commercial's frameworks and standards


• Engages panel Partners as needed to update and develop concept design


• Defines end-to-end product management including appointing strategic suppliers (i.e. kitchens) and other development standards for regions to deliver on Concepts and hence brand propositions


• Ensures regions and other functions are equipped with the knowledge, rationale and good practice for concepts and guidelines, to optimise product and hence site value, including sharing good practice. This may include annual conferences, internal awards and discussions etc.


• Manages internal site design sign-offs, capturing explanations for any exceptions to Concepts


• Undertakes site build assessment to track compliance against signed-off designs, understanding any further exceptions and developing actions, updates Concepts and Guidance for systematic issues across regions


• Tracks and reports on compliance with new updates to Concepts and Guidelines to ensure required benefits are delivered quickly and consistency


• Scopes and oversee special projects, such as pilots for ESG innovation, assessing findings for inclusion into Concepts and Guidelines


• Contributes to external PR and marketing, including industry debates and awards to promote brands and differentiators such as ESG and customer centricity
  
  Proficient IT skills, particularly in the use of Microsoft Office packages and Outlook


• Experience in similar concept role


• Good understanding of products and design


• Strong organisation skills and close attention to detail


• Self-motivated to deliver a high quality of work


• Able to take a professional and flexible approach


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
