Full Job Description

The Housekeeper will assist ward staff in the delivery of a high quality service to children and their families. Duties will include general housekeeping, ward maintenance, monitoring and any other related duties at the discretion of the ward manager in line with the ward requirements. This will be a supportive role aimed at promoting a positive hospital experience for our patients and their families.,

  • Participate in maintaining cleanliness of the ward environment in relation to Infection Prevention Control working closely with the Ward Manager.
  • Participate in resource management with effective stock controls systems.
  • Participate in patient/parent ward based satisfaction surveys.
  • Ensure water outlets are flushed daily and logged on the compass syste
  • RESEARCH
  • Participate in research projects established within the Unit/Trust to promote evidence based practice.
