Full Job Description

We are a social enterprise and we support vulnerable people so that they can 'Live the life they choose'. Mostly we support people with learning disabilities, young people leaving care and people with dementia...though we do lots of other great things too.

Our Supported living services help people to live as independently as possible. You will be responsible for the house and the support given for people to live in a safe, excellent quality and happy home.

Rewards

The salary for a House Manager is £28,155.52 per annum based on 37 hours per week and dependent upon exact location (pro rata for part time). We will pay up to an additional 4% of your salary into a pension plan for you, which will grow every year until you retire.

That's not all you will receive 22 days annual leave plus the 8 bank holidays!

The hours

Your contractual hours will be 37 You will also be required to provide on-call for all service areas from time to time, and will be rewarded for this outside of your basic pay. You can pick up additional hours as and when you want to at an hourly rate of £12 per hour this will be under our separate relief contract.

What

You will ensure we deliver a high quality, safe and person-centred support to the people using our services. This includes lots of things, from personal care through to supporting people to get out and about, and live the life they choose.

You will manage a team of personal assistants to:

· Provide excellent support with personal care, activities and day to day help with a range of tasks (e.g medication administration, moving and positioning, financial support etc.)

· Organise, co-ordinate and monitor staff rotas in line with individual service funds working in accordance with service requirements

· Help to make sure our physical environment is happy and stimulating

· Ensure individual person-centred plans are adhered to and delivered in a timely manner.

· Provide assurance that the house, care and support provided is safe and compliant with our regulatory and legislative requirements.

· Respond, report and act on any incidents or concerns that arise, in accordance with health and safety, safeguarding and other relevant incident management processes

· Develop and maintain a professional and supportive relationship with service users and their families

· Manage relationships with local authorities and other key stakeholders involved in individuals support.

· Conduct regular professional supervision and appraisal with Personal Assistants/ Support Workers and support officers.

· Chair regular team meetings, participate in Case Conferences etc. as required.

· Ensure all staff are up to date with mandatory training requirements and development as identified

· Ensure all audits and compliance checks are completed and company policies adhered to.

Ensure the quality standards and performance measures applying to our work are met.
Maintain a safe environment by working within health and safety guidelines
Take responsibility for looking after our wellbeing
Act as an ambassador, promoting PossAbilities and its services.
Act in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements and follow policies and procedures.
Participate in any training or development as required, and continue to learn so that we can get better
Have a good understanding of safeguarding to be able to keep individuals safe from harm, neglect and abuse
Keep, use and share information responsibly in line with the General Data Protection Regulations and PossAbilities policies
Put forward any ideas to improve the services we provide and the way we work.
Report any concerns through the right channels
Use PossAbilities property and equipment appropriately, safely and with due consideration for its security.
Always act in the best interests of PossAbilities
Undertake any other duties and tasks as may be reasonably required
