Full Job Description

We began as a social landlord providing homes in West Lindsey. Now we provide over 7,000 affordable homes across the East Midlands, Yorkshire and the Humber. Our homes include ones for affordable rent, Shared Ownership, people aged 55 and over and supported housing - but now, we do so much more. We take our roles in our customer's lives seriously, putting them first in everything we do. And as part of that we've grown to provide wider services to truly support the communities in which we work.

In addition, there are over 4,000 learners a year are supported in local communities stretching from Sheffield to Mablethorpe - with everything from entry level qualifications, arts and wellbeing courses through to employability support to help people fulfil their potential. This is through Riverside Training, our employment and skills team, and CLIP, an education provider.

Your role is to ensure that we have well-kept facilities across our student portfolio. Which are kept clean, safe, looking great, inviting and most importantly a welcoming 'home and community' for our people that they are proud to be a part of. You will be passionate about ensuring our people have the best possible experiences with their accommodation and their 'homes' whilst they live on site.

As a Site Housekeeper, a typical day might include:

Working on site to ensure that all our stock, grounds and buildings are always maintained and kept clean and presentable.
Working with the Site Services Manager and team to ensure that we give our people the best service and experience when they are staying with us. It is their home whilst they stay with us, so you will play a key part in ensuring that our sites look presentable, clean, and welcoming at all times.
Cleaning and upkeep of the buildings, communal areas, and grounds on site.
Cleaning indoors, frames and glass doors as necessary. Sometimes there will be a need to use heavy machinery. Training will be given if this is required.
Mopping and vacuuming of floors and stairways and all communal areas.
Emptying bins on site, litter picking on and around the site and general upkeep to ensure that the areas are kept tidy and presentable, both externally and internally.
Notifying the site maintenance team if you see anything on site whilst on duty that needs repair or attention in any way. Making sure this is logged onto the necessary IT systems as required.
Health and Safety is paramount, therefore being able to manage and identify risks is always essential.
Being proactive around health and safety and ensuring that any concerns are reported and acted upon immediately.
Working as part of a team to ensure that spaces and rooms are cleaned and prepared when they are vacated, ready for any newcomers moving in with us.
Supporting the team with any inspections that may need to be carried out.
As a regular point of contact for our people staying with us, you will play a key role in always ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service.
Ensuring that you are the eyes and ears of the business when you are interacting with our people, therefore, raising any wellbeing and safeguarding concerns with the team.
Comply with Acis Health and Safety Standards and contribute towards meeting its health and safety responsibilities.
Undertake all duties in compliance with the responsibilities and Safety Rules identified in the Health and Safety Policy.
Working well as a team to ensure that our people always have the best possible experience.
Working as part of the teams to help promote and welcome our people at Open Days and Move in Weekends.
On occasions you may be asked to support at our other sites should there be a need.

Experience of working with cleaning equipment and chemicals in a safe manner.
Have a 'can do' attitude to ensure we exceed our people's expectations.
Excellent customer service skills and focus at all times.
Basic IT skills with the ability to use necessary IT systems.
Good literacy skills.
Aware of COSHH regulations to keep you and others safe.
Knowledge and experience of safe working systems of work.
Ability to work as a team, under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
