Full Job Description

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Maintain the home to a high standard of cleanliness in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.

  • Cleaning residential rooms including communal areas, offices, kitchens, and bathrooms.

  • It's an active role - for example, you'll be lifting or carrying equipment as required.

    To become a Housekeeper with us you will be:
  • Have a keen eye for maintaining cleanliness and order.

  • Take pride in your work and be aware that your will be working in the home of the people we support.

  • A good listener, patient, respectful, kind and treat all people with dignity.

  • Good English skills to communicate with the people we care for, their families and the team.

  • Have an awareness of health & safety and show a common-sense approach to your work., These will be used to short list candidates to interview so please ensure these skills are clear to see in your application and your CV.

  • Ability to undertake a wide range of cleaning tasks.

  • Able to communicate effectively with the people we care for, staff and visitors.

  • Flexible approach to allocated duties and work as part of a team.

  • Sensitive to the needs of those we care for., Basic literacy and numeracy skills.

  • Basic knowledge of Health and Safety.

  • Knowledge of COSHH regulations. Desirable

  • Experience of using a range of cleaning equipment including powered equipment. Desirable

  • Experience of working as a cleaner in paid employment. Desirable
