Housekeeper

An opportunity has arisen for a permanent housekeeper to join our neuropsychiatry service at the Lishman Unit.

The Lishman unit sits within the Psychological Medicine and Older Adult Directorate. The Ward provides assessment and treatment for people requiring neuro rehabilitation.

The ward has 15 beds and a staffing establishment with a large MDT covering medical, psychology and therapy services. The ward works closely with other organizations in ensuring ongoing support upon discharge.

The post-holder will work as an integral part of the ward team and be responsible for the co-ordination of all client facilities services in the ward area and ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment., The main elements of the role are ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of cleaning, catering, maintenance, laundry, together with other specified tasks to meet individual client needs as determined by the ward manager/shift coordinator. The post-holder will be required to work closely with contractors and support service departments and monitor quality standards, report deficiencies and ensure requested work is completed.

For the role of Housekeeper you will need excellent communication skills, well developed inter-personal skills, excellent organisational skills, the ability to be resourceful and flexible and have good attention to detail.
