- Please note that this role is not on the Home Office list of occupations eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route. We believe that Housekeeping is a vitally important role as it supports the care of patients ensuring that they receive the nutrition that will help them recover from their illness or surgery in a clean and safe environment Working in a demanding but rewarding setting the Housekeeper can make a real difference to a patients experience in hospital by providing support and a friendly face during their stay, The main responsibility of the Housekeeper at The Mid Yorkshire NHS Trust is to deliver the meals and drinks service to patients throughout the day and to be responsible for all elements of food hygiene, safety and cleanliness in the kitchens and wards. As a Housekeeper you will be an organised individual with strong communication skills. You will also need to be an excellent team player with a committed and professional approach You will also interact with patients ensuring that they are supported with their dietary requirements where necessary. Amongst other administration duties, you will be responsible for the pantry and monitoring and reporting on meal wastage and meal requirements in line with trust procedures.
