Housekeeper

You will be responsible for providing a full range of housekeeping duties in an assigned areas consisting of guest rooms, corridors, pet friendly rooms and/or restrooms etc. You will perform assigned duties which include dusting and polishing all furniture as required. Vacuuming floors and/or shampooing carpets, cleaning windows and other living areas, emptying waste baskets daily if required and occasionally washing walls, paintwork and blinds. Your hours of work will be 39.00 hours per week on an "as rostered" schedule meaning you will work and 5 out of 7 days. Start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with the organisation's flexible working policies.

You will have knowledge of the proper use of a variety of special cleaning and sanitizing solutions and how to remove different kinds of stains from a wide variety of surfaces. You will have the ability to independently complete a full range of duties on your own and without instructions. You must also be able to use, clean and make adjustments to power cleaning equipment such as steamers, vacuums and dryers., You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft, and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training, this position may also be coded as mission essential. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period. Overtime may be required, and you may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent. You must also be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. All successful applicants will require a security clearance and a right to work in the UK.
