We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a housekeeper on Dalgliesh Ward at Melton Mowbray Hospital which provides sub-acute care, palliative care and rehabilitation. This ward is one of thirteen wards which form the Trusts Inpatient Community Health Services division.

You will work your contracted weekly hours between 08.00 and 20.00 over a roster covering Monday to Sunday including bank holidays.

Free parking is available on site.

The local bus transport network has a stop near the hospital.

The Trust encourages a healthy work life balance and flexible working opportunities are available., Housekeepers are a vital part of our ward teams and aid the nursing and multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient care. This role includes but is not limited to -

  • Helping patients with their nutrition and hydration to include serving meals, assisting patients to feed themselves or feeding them.

  • Maintaining a clean, tidy and welcoming ward environment.

  • Sitting with patients who may require one to one support and supervision.

  • Managing stores and store rooms.

  • Working closely with the Ward Manager in maintaining and monitoring clinical and environmental standards including the use of audit tools., patterns in line with our flexible working policy. For all substantive roles, new staff (excluding medical staff) are appointed subject to a 6-month probationary period (see Probation Policy). All jobs will require permission to work in the UK.
