housekeeping assistant

We have a great opportunity to join our busy Guest Services team as a Housekeeping Assistant. You will be responsible for ensuring that excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained by cleaning patient rooms, communal areas and offices. This role is ideal for someone with previous housekeeping or cleaning experience and excellent attention to detail. This is a part time role working 30 hours per week. Shifts will be 8 hours between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 Monday to Sunday. Role Responsibilities include: As a housekeeping assistant you will:

• Clean common areas, patient rooms and bathrooms to the required standards.
• Replenish linen and toiletries etc. as directed.
• Work within infection control guidelines.
• Ensure cleaning materials are used according to the relevant COSHH requirements., Take reassurance from knowing that your interviewer can often be as nervous as you. Be polite, honest and open, maintaining eye contact with them. Talk as clearly and confidently as you can and if you don't understand a question, ask for clarification. When answering, focus on positive experiences and be prepared to go into detail about your previous positions and your future aspirations.
  
  Essential
• Have previous housekeeping / cleaning experience.
• Have excellent attention to detail.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Possess some knowledge of COSHH, the guidelines that surround this legislation and how these would be applied within a clinical setting.
Desirable
• Hold a COSHH Certificate.
• Have previous housekeeping experience in a clinical setting.
