Full Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated, committed and service focused individual to manage our team of Housekeepers as a Housekeeping Supervisor. This is an excellent opportunity to join our Housekeeping team. In this role you will support Hampshire and Isle of Wight NHS Foundation Trust in maintaining hygiene standards for our sites while we continue to provide critical services to our community. This role will work in our on-site housekeeping services within our new build at Western Community Hospital. You will be responsible for the day to day management of the Housekeeping department, including wards and general areas whilst working within budgeted hours to achieve the required standards. You will need to have previous team leadership experience, have the experience of working within a domestic environment as well as the knowledge and experience of the National Cleaning Standards 2021. The hours of work range between Monday - Sunday to cover the hours between 07.00-17.00 and will include Bank Holiday working. This will be discussed at interview and a model roster shown.   • To support and manage a team of domestic / portering staff. Carry out regular weekly Cleaning Audits on all areas and maintain audit records.
  • To recognise and address any low water usage outlets and, with the support of the senior facilities supervisor and Site Manager, introduce Low Usage Outlets Flushing Regime. Issue record sheets for staff, in order to evidence and to be able to monitor the accurate completion of appropriate water hygiene practice. Store evidence of regime in electronic form.
  • Maintain a programme of curtain changing in areas of responsibility
  • Monitor and recognise any training development needs for the assigned staff via annual appraisals.
