Full Job Description

Assess housing applications in line with the Council's housing allocation policy and the Housing Act. Provide a frontline housing service including housing advice. To review assessments considering changes in circumstances. Provide assistance, identifying vulnerabilities and signposting for support. Support the wider team with administrative tasks as necessary. Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of current legislation and good practice in relation to housing.

Proven experience giving housing advice to the public. Able to work in line with policy, procedure, and legislation. Excellent communication skills including tact, diplomacy, empathy, and patience Proficient in Microsoft Office. Able to work well as part of a team. Organised and able to work well to deadlines.

Temporary - up to 11 months 37 Hours per week NS6 £24,702 - £25,979 per annum (Pay Award Pending) We are seeking a customer focussed individual with experience of providing housing advice to join our team in a temporary maternity cover role.
