Full Job Description

The post holder will be part of the Housing team, which undertakes several key statutory and nonstatutory
housing functions, both operational and strategic. The role of the Housing Commissioning
Officer is to identify and bring forward accommodation to meet the needs of people who require
specialist and supported housing, commissioning delivery both internally and externally. Further to
this the postholder is responsible for liaising with internal and external partners to ensure that post
occupancy accommodation is managed successfully and that accommodation meets all required
health and safety and regulatory requirements., This is an exciting opportunity to join the Housing team and to have a direct impact and influence on
the delivery and provision of specialist and supported housing for those receiving assistance from
the Council's social care teams. We are looking for someone with a commitment to embedding high
standards within the Council's housing and accommodation arrangements and with a focus on
enabling people to maintain their independence and live well and healthy lives.
