Housing Management Assistant - If you are a dedicated and skilled Housing Counselor with a passion for excellence, we invite you to join our team at the United States Air Force, 48th Civil Engineer Squadron, RAF Lakenheath We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience in assisting individuals in all matters related to housing as well as cooperate with private developer, property owner, managers and letting agents. Our team is dedicated to excellence, innovation, and the highest standards of operational readiness., You will be responsible for advising, recommending and resolves difficult assignment and termination problems of a regulatory or procedural nature referred by lower-graded employees or as assigned by the supervisor. You will participate in resolving a variety of housing problems by assembling facts through interviews, monitoring complaints, and other housing actions and issues as well as perform presentations, conduct meetings, and conduct special studies or reviews. A valid CAT B driving license will be required for this position. Your hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week on a fixed schedule Mon-Fri 0800-1630 where start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with the organization's flexible working policies., You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft, and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training, this position may also be coded as mission essential. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period. Overtime may be required, and you may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. Position may be coded as mission essential. All successful applicants will require a security clearance and a right to work in the UK.

You will have knowledge of the fundamental principles, techniques, and methodology of housing assistance to schedule and coordinate operation and efficient use of government quarters and facilities. You will show knowledge of realty practices, management and financing practices of lease and sale of real property, and relocation assistance. You will have skill in conducting technical studies and surveys; skill in basic computer data entry, retrieval, and storage of information to input into an automated system. A qualified typist is not required. You will also have ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals, both orally and in writing, and ability to interpret and apply agency policies and directives. Qualification requirements:

• Professional housing certification is desirable
• A valid CAT B driving license.
